Great restaurants in walking distance to Peninsula Hotel??

Looking for some great Japanese restaurants, any price range, breakfast, lunch or dinner, near The Peninsula Tokyo Hotel. Something we could possibly walk to from there. Also, any market close where snacks and grocery items could be purchased?

There are some great places to eat in the Maru Bldg and Shin Maru Bldg, located about a 10 minute walk from the Pen across from Tokyo station. Both have about 5 floors of F%26amp;B each. Its kind of a ';best of Tokyo'; as famous restaurants around Tokyo have set up branches in these buildings at the invitation of the landlord.

Also try ';Peter'; in the Pen. Its not Japanese, but its great!

Grocery items can be purchased at any convenience store. They are a few located around the Pen in the basements of some of the office buildings or around Yurakucho station. Some of the more ubiquitous conv. shops are Lawson, 7-11, and Family Mart. The Shin Maru Bldg, mentioned above, has a branch of the upscale Seijo Ishii grocery store, while the Maru Bldg has a branch of the Meidi-ya grocery store. Also, the bakery next to Meidi-ya, called Juheim, has the best bread in Tokyo. Both Seijo Ishii and Meidi-ya are on the basement level.
